The circle of life continues as Kiara, heir apparent to the Pridelands, is born to Simba. Growing up, with the help of bumbling babysitters Timon and Pumbaa, she learns her father exiled all lions loyal to Scar to the desolate Outlands. A place Kiara must never go. Being a headstrong and michievous young cub, Kiara runs off anyway. There in the Outlands she meets Kovu, who is being groomed to walk in Scar's pawprints and undo Simba's reign. As Kiara and Kovu's feelings for each other grow, Simba must battle with his fear of the past and learn to trust his daughter's instincts, especially when she and Kovu become the only hope of bringing two feuding worlds together as one.
