REGISTRATION AND ELIGIBILTY
The Reliant Energy Referral Rewards Zone program ("membership") is open to all Reliant Energy customers at least 18 years of age, who provide and maintain a working e-mail address and a valid Reliant Energy account number. Communications about the program, including changes, primarily will be electronic by e-mail or on reliantcustomerreferrals.online-rewards.com. By joining the program, you represent that you are a Reliant Energy customer. By using this program, you agree to the Rules of the program. Your membership is nontransferable and is subject to present and future program rules. Your membership is valid only at reliantcustomerreferrals.online-rewards.com. Membership begins when you register a new referral account at reliantcustomerreferrals.online-rewards.com. The Reliant Energy customer selects their user login, used to gain access to the Referral Rewards Zone web site. Upon initial login, participants may change their personal password. Reliant Energy may, at any time, terminate or modify the Referral Rewards Zone program by posting the changes on reliantcustomerreferrals.online-rewards.com. Please note, NRG Energy Employees may not refer new customers through this program if the referral is made through the Share the Power Program. All users of this web site agree that their access to and use of this web site are subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein and all applicable laws. Any access is undertaken at the user's own risk. These terms and conditions may change without prior notice.

EARNING POINTS AND TOKENS
As a member of the Referral Rewards Zone program you will earn points for each referral that becomes a Reliant Energy customer. Points will post to your account after the referee has started service or transferred their existing service with Reliant Energy. Points deposited into your account have no cash value. You cannot give or transfer your points to anyone else. Reliant Energy is not responsible for communications lost due to change of address, change of e-mail address or other changes in contact information. Other restrictions or exclusions may apply.

POINTS REDEMPTION
For every referral that starts service with Reliant Energy, the Reliant Energy customer will receive 600 points. Each point is worth five cents (600 points = $30). Points can be used to redeem the merchandise of your choice in the Referral Rewards Zone catalog. Points are non transferable and may only be used by the member to whom they are issued. Points will be available for redemption in your personal referral account in the Referral Rewards Zone. Points earned can only be used for merchandise purchases in the Referral Rewards Zone catalog. Rewards Points have no monetary value except to the extent specifically provided for by a Reward. Unless noted otherwise on reliantcustomerreferrals.online-rewards.com, points earned will not expire, unless you are terminated from the program due to fraudulent behavior and/or have deactivated your account. Any Rewards Points not redeemed before termination or account deactivation are forfeited.

CLAIMING A REWARD
Reliant Energy Referral Rewards Zone reserves the right to modify the merchandise available in the On-Line Catalog at any time and without notice. When you have obtained sufficient points, you may redeem an item(s) from those described in the On-Line Catalog. Specific merchandise is subject to availability and substitutions may be made based on availability or market conditions.

PROMOTIONS
From time to time, Reliant Energy, at its discretion, may sponsor promotions intended to promote participation in the Referral Rewards Zone. These promotions may be terminated at any time, without cause or warning.

TAXES FOR REDEEMED PRIZES
Merchandise redeemed under the program is subject to applicable federal, state and/or local taxes. Applicable merchandise tax is applied to the point values for each item in the On-Line catalog. Payment of taxes resulting from these awards is the sole responsibility of the participant and not Reliant Energy, or any of its affiliates or agents. Reliant Energy will report earnings under this program in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. Reliant Energy customers who are members of the Referral Rewards Zone must complete and submit an IRS 1099 Form when the value of redeemed prizes exceeds $600 in a calendar year. Reliant Energy will send this form to the member.

SHIPPING AND HANDLING
Merchandise redeemed under the program is subject to shipping and handling charges. The shipping and handling charges are included in the point value associated with each item in the On-Line Catalog and are represented in the overall value of the item.

NON-QUALIFYING REFERRALS
There are certain zip codes that Reliant Energy cannot service in Texas. When submitting a referral, you will be asked to enter your referral’s zip code to verify service availability. If you receive an error message, this means that you will not be able to submit the referral until a valid zip code is entered. Reliant Energy will not pay referrer for swap enrollments (referrals made to current Reliant Energy customers will immediately expire in the Referral Rewards Zone).

QUALIFYING REFERRAL ENROLLMENTS
Referral Rewards Zone members will only receive payment for referrals when (1) the referee is a new customer (MVI) with Reliant, (2) the referee transfers their service (TOS) with Reliant to a new address, or (3) the referee switches (SWI) to Reliant from their current electricity provider. Reliant Energy will not pay the cancellation fees associated with the customer’s existing/pre-existing electricity provider when switching away from their current provider to Reliant Energy.

REFERRAL REWARDS ZONE ACCOUNT - CANCELLATION AND TERMINATION
Reliant Energy Referral Rewards Zone reserves the right, without prior notice, to discontinue or change the program and/or terms and conditions at any time. If the program is suspended or terminated, any unredeemed Referral Points must be redeemed within one month of the date of termination. All questions or disputes regarding eligibility for this program, the eligibility of Rewards, the availability of Rewards or points, or terms and conditions of the program will be resolved by Reliant Energy Referral Rewards Zone at its sole discretion. You may cancel your account at any time by notifying Member Services by e-mail. Cancellation may take from 3 to 5 business days to finalize. Upon cancellation your account will be deactivated. If your account is cancelled or deactivated, you will not receive the point to cash equivalent for unredeemed points. Points have no cash value. Any remaining points will be forfeited. If you cancel your account, or if your account is terminated, all personal information - including Social Security Number, street addresses, email addresses and all other information tied to your account - will be removed from the website and permanently erased from our records.

You may view your account activity online at reliantcustomerreferrals.online-rewards.com. When you visit this web site or send emails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. You consent to receive communications from us electronically. We will communicate with you by email or by posting notices on this web site.
